ortholog gene name search
Background:
- we store some identifiers of non-WormBase proteins in the respective protein object
- the gene search searches the genes, the protein search searches the proteins
- proteins will not show up in gene searches and other way round
example: WRAP53/TCAB1
- WRAP53 shows two hits in proteins
- one is an isoform from EnsEMBL
- one is a SwissProt protein
- TCAP1 comes up with nothing, as it is a HGNC synonym
