Agenda

Outstanding Help Desk issues

  • Conceptual translation of mitochondrial transcripts (carry-over from last call)
      • We told the user we would get back to them on Oct 24 (the user reply was on the 18th but only entered manually on the ticket on 24th)
      • PD pointed the user to the translations on the Protein summary page on 18th so we can change status to "helped" as the user has been contacted and put in the right direction.
      • The bug still need to be fixed but there are two options as stated in the ticket.

AGR data upload deadline next Wednesday (Jan 10)

  • Initial import of nematode alleles into AGR
  • Will include only alleles that:
    • affect single, endogenous genes AND
    • have disease associations OR phenotypes OR regulatory interactions
  • Kevin has suggested creating a separate file of these alleles to make available to users
  • Future plans are to expand to alleles that:
    • Affect more than one gene
    • Do not have data (will need to clearly distinguish from those with data)
  • Need to nail down definition of "allele" (and other terms) at AGR (with Variants working group)

WS264 models

  • Only a simple change for the Gene_class class to avoid two Description fields
  • No further changes.

Minutes

GoToMeeting call-in problems

  • Hinxton having problems dialing in with the provided numbers (silence on the line)
  • Raymond will look into it

Allele data import into AGR

  • Generating allele table for initial import into AGR
  • We may create a file on FTP (at AGR and WB) for these
  • Kevin working on import file (will use WS263 to be in sync with AGR 1.3 release in March/April)

WS264 models

  • Essentially no substantial changes
  • Could theoretically use WS263 models, but might be good to incorporate the single, small change
  • Update release schedule on WormBase, to list beyond WS264? Yes, will do

New CIT WB curator

  • April Jauhal joining in coming weeks
  • Will work on gene regulatory features, and regulatory interactions among other things
