This document describes collaborative tools available to WormBase team members.

Accounts

To begin, you should request a wormbase.org account [1].

This account will automatically give you access to WormBase documents, discussion groups, calendars, chat, voice, and contact information.

Groups (Mailing Lists)

WormBase uses a number of mailing lists for discussion. You can manage subscriptions yourself, post from the web, etc.

Creating your own discussion group

With your wormbase.org account, you can create your own groups, a perfect way to support new projects. By default discussion within a group is archived, a feature which can be disabled if desired. See the main page for details.
