Process Summary

Six vulval precursor cells are specified from 12 Pn.p cells of the ventral epidermis. These six VPC cells have equal potential to produce vulval cell lineages.

  • life stage = L1 and L2
  • cells = Ventral epidermal cells from 11 Pn.p cells six vulval precursor cells: P4.p, P3.p, P8.p, P7.p, P5.p, and P6.p.
