Agenda
- Pacificus genes
- There are 2 pacificus genes that, according to Oliver Hobert and Ralf Sommer, are not properly annotated yet in WormBase, Ppa-unc-30 and Ppa-unc-17.
- Oliver published a gene expression report in micropublication recently. In order to hyperlink the genes/do curation, we need the WBGene Identifiers. Is it possible to generate them?
- Stavros already on it (thank you, Stavros!) https://github.com/WormBase/website/issues/9548
- Both genes and the paper will be curated after new Pristionchus build soon.
- During the build new WBGeneIDs will be generated for Ppa-unc-30 and Ppa-unc-17
Update [from PWS; I will be driving for first part of the call.]
The Alliance grant will get funded, waiting on Award Notice
We have the go-ahead from Caltech to do the Data Management Sharing Fees. We need to make an implementation plan.
I need to confirm how we can accept donations via Caltech, which gives tax exemption for donations. I hope we can accept both checks and credit cards. Will get back to everyone once I have more information from Caltech.
Carol Bult talked with Gos Micklem who wants to develop a new version of INterMine in collaboration with the Alliance. This requires funding and time. I think it is worth a try, but in parallel we can think up a separate approach.
